2018 PhD Conference

Sponsored by the Money, Macro, and Finance Research Group, the Bank of England, The Macroeconomics, Growth and History Centre (MaGHiC) at the School of Economics, University of Kent, and the Centre for International Macro Studies (CIMS), University of Surrey.

The Macroeconomics, Growth and History Centre is hosting the 5th Annual MMF PhD conference. We invite submissions of complete papers from PhD students who are registered for their research degree at UK institutions of higher education. Topics include macroeconomic theory, economic growth, international macroeconomics, monetary economics, macroeconometrics, financial macro, and economic and financial history.

For successful candidates, the costs of attendance at the conference including 1-night accommodation (two nights for those traveling long distances) at University lodging, dinner on the evening of the 19th, as well as reasonable travel costs, will be met by the sponsors.

Important Dates:

The deadline for the submission of papers is midnight 12th February 2018. Authors of accepted papers will be notified by 12th March 2018 and the programme published shortly thereafter. If you have any questions please contact the organising committee.
